Walks And Cycling

One of the many reasons that so many visitors flock to the peak district every year is to enjoy cycling, walking and climbing.

Cycling

For cyclists the Peak District offers plenty of quiet country lanes which criss-cross the limestone plateau between the high drystone walls which surround the village of Tideswell. Slightly further afield is the traffic-free Monsal Trail, which follows the former Midland Railway threading through the deep gorge of the river Wye past some of the most spectacular dales scenery.

Walking

The Peak district is unusually rich in the diversity and range of scenery and walking conditions it offers. From pastures and rural grazing, to steep craggy hills, rivers, valleys and streams, the views change drastically almost ‘around the corner' and certainly within a few short miles.

So whether you are a serious walker or among the
stroll and chat fraternity, its all there for you, below we list some of the walks that have proved popular amongst our guests.
